Few copies are know to exist of the original of this, probably the first Directory of the City of Glasgow.
It includes the villages of Anderston, Calton, and Gorbals, later all subsumed in Glasgow.
However, it adds the neighbouring towns of Paisley, Greenock and Port Glasgow.
It was first published by John Tait in 1783.
